Work has commenced on the construction of a new movable bridge in London’s Canary Wharf and our team installed the latest of three modular platforms comprising 1000m² this week.

The installations provide access, a material laydown pontoon and manoeuvrable encapsulation for pile cutting and deck laying, these working platforms will remain in place through to the middle of 2018.

On completion, the new 36 metre single leaf bascule bridge, designed by Flint & Neill and Knight Architects, will span across the southern end of the Bellmouth Passage providing a road and pedestrian link between Montgomery Square and the new district Wood Wharf.

Pontoon Works have been supporting construction projects in Canary Wharf for more than 5 years offering the safest solutions to our clients and their contractors.
