One of our Installation Teams is currently on site in Nottingham providing both working platform and materials barge support for an aerial scaffold crew. The project is the refurbishment of the iconic Victorian Grade II listed Trent Bridge which opened in 1871 to transport traffic and pedestrians into Nottingham City.
The structure was in need of refurbishment works to deal with corrosion and our client elected to work from suspended scaffold, the transportation of which was from a launch point further up the river.
A total of 140 sq.m of pontoon has been mobilised, equipped with deck lashing points, Combisafe edge protection and two work boats. The pontoon solution has transported personnel, scaffold , materials and sundries to the site for installation works and will continue to act as full debris fall arrest and crash deck for the duration of the project. The contract was awarded early this year and works are well under way and on schedule. There is been minimal disruption to traffic during this time with only a small inconvenience to pedestrians.
Pontoonworks continue to excel in their field, offering innovative solutions to the construction and civil engineering projects. If you need to work on or around water and you want to find out how we can help, give us a call or email us on [email protected]
