Scope of Work
Contractors repainting the Trent Bridge in Nottingham had a long list of requirements to achieve a full refurbishment of the iconic structure. They needed to transport and install an elevated working platform under the structure and provide a safe environment for working at height over water.
Solution
Our 140m2 modular barge was constructed to carry materials of in excess of 10T approximately 500 metres up the River Trent to the bridge. It was equipped with an outboard and manoeuvred with a safety boat. Anchored to the pillars of the bridge it became a mobile working platform providing both personnel and debris fall arrest during the construction of the elevated working platform through to the completion of the project.
