Salary:                        Basic Salary £40,000-£60,000 + Commission + Car + Benefits

Reports to:                Commercial Director

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to develop our sales operations in the North of England. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving technical sales growth, building strong relationships with existing customers and creating new opportunities across the region.   Our client base is primarily focussed in the water sector, however we also work across a broad range of civils projects in rail, highways and construction.  This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills, and a passion for achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy and Execution:
    • Develop and implement a regional sales strategy aligned with the company’s overall objectives.
    • Identify new business opportunities and drive growth in existing accounts.
    • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategies.
    • Participate in industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to increase brand visibility and generate leads.
    • Manage and monitor the commercial performance of quotes, pricing actions, and agreements within the customer base to ensure a return-on-investment model is achieved.

  • Development:
    • Take feedback and training to improve the quality of sales calls. Actively take responsibility for your own self-development and learning.

  • Customer Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
    • Liaise with installation crews to ensure client satisfaction.
    • Act as the main point of contact for existing accounts in the region.
    • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective account management and problem resolution.

  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Provide regular reports to the Commercial Director.
    • Analyse sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
    • Manage the regional sales budget effectively.
    • Attend management meetings at Head Office in Somerset bi-monthly.

  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the marketing and operations teams to align sales activities with promotional efforts.
    • Liaise with other regional sales managers to share best practices and ensure a cohesive national strategy.

Requirements:

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience.
    • Proven track record of success in B2B sales, preferably in the marine, construction, or related industries.
    • Knowledge of the water sector is an advantage, but not essential
  • Skills:
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strategic thinker with strong analytical abilities.
    • Ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
    • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
